Embodied Leadership Training

We had a soft launch for this program a few weeks ago and have already received some incredible applications! Now that our other program, Queerly Beloved, is well on its way, we are excited to officially announce enrollment for our next training: Embodied Leadership I&II. This training is the fruit of many seeds planted long ago through the different relationships and iterations of embodied practice for building powerful and sustainable leadership — individually and collectively. This facilitation team is an incredible crew of facilitators, somatic practitioners, politicized healers, and cultural workers. We are ready to bring a myriad of tools and practices to grow our collective power and resilience. Check out the details below and apply by June 23rd.

Course Description

How can somatics be integrated into our leadership? How can we make somatics scalable to meet the needs of a larger collective? What does embodied practice and personal transformation have to do with building stronger organizing and social movements?

This program is designed for people within social and environmental justice movements, including cultural organizers, staff, members, and activists. We also welcome politicized healers, facilitators, and other one-on-one practitioners who are looking to more effectively support movement leaders and organizations.

We will explore ways to more effectively coordinate, take action, and collaborate towards our individual and collective visions. You will reflect on your own leadership, envision the kind of leader you want to be, and begin to make the moves to get there. You will explore how you historically act under pressure and learn to shift unwanted automatic reactions. You will build skills in making direct requests and declines. You will learn to: articulate your vision for how you want to lead; form mutual relationships that can more easefully coordinate towards larger goals; embody greater authenticity and accountability; increase your ability to move others in beneficial directions; and compel and inspire people towards a collective vision.

The somatics of embodied leadership takes time—includes days in training, daily practice, good models, and individualized support. Attendance is required at both weekends and will include practice in between.

Sliding Scale

$1,000 - $3,000 (See application for further information on financial accessibility)

New and seasoned participants are invited to participate!
